BOTOX

Neurotoxins or Neuromodulators, Botox and Dysport, are two separate neuromodulator brands that relax muscles and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. Neurotoxins can help with TMJ and masseter reduction, which slims the jawline. They can also be used to alter lip anatomy, can hide a gummy smile, "flip your lips" to appear larger and give you a pout. Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) can be treated with either neuromodulator.

Typically, results are seen 2 weeks post-injection and last approximately 2-6 months depending on the patient and injection site.

The amount of Botox and Dysport units used varies with each person. We use tiered pricing. For more information regarding pricing please call or schedule a consultation.

HYPERHYDROSIS

If you feel you over-sweat, particularly in your underarms, forehead or other areas, Botox is an easy way to fix this and keep these areas dry.

LIP FLIP

If you're not ready for filler, a lip flip is a great place to start. It gives the appearance of a fuller lip by relaxing the muscle around the mouth.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Botox Cosmetic? Is it safe?

It is an injectable neuromodulator that works to relax muscles. So, what does that actually mean?  Wherever Botox is injected, the underlying muscles stop moving temporarily. When the muscles stop moving, the wrinkles stop forming-- simple! Botox is used to soften lines of excessive facial expression from squinting, frowning, and smiling.

As a medical boutique, we love our research! Backed by over 16 years of published studies, Botox is the most widely researched and studied treatment of its kind. Its safety and efficacy have been written about in over 500 peer-reviewed articles in both scientific and medical journals. Rest assured, you are in great hands! Our providers are highly trained and will provide you with the best possible experience.

What can I expect? Will my face freeze? Will it hurt?

We don’t believe in creating unnatural, frozen-looking faces that you may have seen on television or social media.  We are absolutely vested in maintaining your facial expressions, providing natural results that mirror a revitalized version of yourself.

Some injection areas are more sensitive than others but don't be afraid! Not only do we use small gauge needles, but each injection site is iced, and various distraction methods are used to provide you with the utmost comfortable experience. Most of our patients would describe the injection as a tiny pinch, but if you still are still concerned about the pain, a topical numbing cream may be applied for several minutes prior to your treatment.

How soon before I see results? How long does Botox last?

How soon results are seen varies for every individual, but some people report seeing initial results within hours. However, for most, results can be seen within 3 days to 2 weeks.

All good things must come to an end, and sadly, the Botox will wear off and your muscles will again start contracting. For most people, Botox will last 3-4 months, but some people see results for up to 6 months, others, for 2-3 months. It all depends on your own body chemistry!

It's very common that first-timers feel their results don't last as long, but the more treatments they get, the longer it lasts. Everyone is unique, but what we can promise is that you'll love your results!

What are the side effects?

The side effects of botox are minimal and minor. Side effects include redness, injection bump, or bruising at the injection site, Typically, they resolve within a few hours post injection, to 24-48 hours of treatment. Most people report no side effects at all and are able to carry out their normal activities right after treatment, excluding physical workouts.
